Confetti
Playful Interactive Installations for Community Building & Well-Being
Confetti is part of a project where interactive installations focus on the importance of play. The project was created together with newly arrived teenagers from the language introduction classes at Angereds Gymnasiet in Gothenburg.
Having fun is of central importance and is something we should pay more attention to. With Confetti, teenagers are given an opportunity to take a break from everyday demands and challenges. By creating an experiential and interactive environment, the installation aims to create an atmosphere where young people feel free to express themselves in new ways and release energy far beyond the limitations of words. With the help of play, doors are opened for their unique culture and perspective to be explored and taken place.
By prioritizing shared experiences over digital isolation, the project aims to inspire spontaneity, joy and creativity within a collective environment. Confetti promotes community building and teenagers' well-being, with a strong emphasis on having fun together and making a positive impact on their journey!

Fjället
A Play Sculpture from Recycled Materials
Fjället was conceived in collaboration with students from grades 3-6 at IES Krokslätt and prototyped in Gothenburg for the Frihamnen area during the celebration of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary. The students’ keywords for the sculpture were colorful, hangout, crowded, standing on top of something, and climbing.
The project focuses on children’s play and cultural life by hacking the city and implementing participatory design processes with children. With Fjället, we aimed to create a sculpture that would stand out and occupy space, while also providing children and teenagers with a natural place in the urban landscape. The goal of the project is to empower children to influence sustainable urban development.
The sculpture is entirely crafted from recycled materials from Frihamnen, which were chosen to showcase that valuable artworks can be created from materials that would otherwise have been discarded.

Nyforsgatan 13
Using playful illustrations to deter vandalism
In partnership with Nyforsgatans Preschool and Graflunds real estate company, we embarked on a collaborative project to address vandalism concerns, particularly at Nyforsgatan 13.
In collaboration with artist Henna Koskela, we engaged the preschool children to draw animals from various habitats. We then transformed these drawings into a vibrant landscape printed on plastic film, which we installed on the windows and front door of Nyforsgatan 13. Our objective was to deter vandalism by adding a personal touch to the building—a decoration visibly influenced by the children’s artwork. We hoped that individuals would hesitate to damage something that children had actively participated in creating.
The initiative was met with enthusiasm and appreciation from both the young artists and the community at large.
