About the Webinar
Linnea Huhta is a multi-talented creative professional from Tornedalen, and a Meänkieli speaker. She is an author, poet and film producer. The webinar will be conducted in an interview format, where Linnea Huhta answers some questions about her experience as a minority author and producer of cultural media, and will be concluded with opening up the stage for the webinar attendees to collectively think of solutions regarding promoting minority stories.
The webinar with Linnea Huhta is organized and conducted by Kotte as the Swedish collaborator under the umbrella project: Lifting Minority Stories in the Nordics.
There are five national minority languages in Sweden: Meänkieli, Finnish, Romani Chib, Yiddish, and Sami. The Swedish project and the umbrella project aim to highlight authors from these and other minority backgrounds, based in the Nordics. Read more about Kotte's involvement in Lifting Minority Stories in the Nordics.
The webinar is targeted at librarians in the Nordics as well as organizations, entities or individuals who are working with—or interested in—promoting minority stories and authors.
