Stamp-Making
Simple Stamp-Making Workshop
at Angereds Bokmässa 2024
Introduction
In May 2024, Kotte held a workshop for children aged 3+ during Angereds Bokmässa. The aim was to introduce as simple as possible stamp-making techniques to children, which they could then replicate at home using tools and materials they can easily access.
Workshop Overview
Simple stamp-making ideas were introduced to the children. We showed children various examples of simple stamp-making. Some examples we showed included:
1. Rolling paint over existing objects with texture (such as: decorative plates, bubble wrap, string) in order to use as a stamp.
2. Drawing with a ballpoint pen onto thin craft foam to make a debossed drawing of their own to then be stamped using a stamp pad.
Review
We had 50 participants during the 4 hour period we were there, our workshop station was continuously busy with curious and creative people. People, young and old, were really impressed by how easy it is to make your own stamp, and started thinking about how they could repeat these techniques at home.
