Postcards to A Distant Self
Workshop at Konstkollektivet 10-Year Jubileum 2024
Introduction
In this reflective workshop, participants created personal postcards to their past or future selves, sending messages across time—10, 20, or 30 years in the future or the past. Through art, memory, and imagination, everyone can explore their journeys, dreams, and transformations. As part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Konstkollektivet, we invited all ages to pause, reflect, and communicate with the distant versions of who they were—or who they will become.
Workshop Review
Most participants took the task to reflect quite seriously. For those with young children, it was a happy moment looking forward to the future.
As facilitators of the workshop, we respect that the outcomes of this workshop were personal and not to be shared with anyone, but rather taken home and read again in the future.
