Hej!
We want to hear a story from your culture!
Do you speak one of these languages?
Somali, Persian, Kurdish, Arabic, Greek, Spanish, Polish, Serbian, Croatian, or Bosnian.
First, we want you to read these selected children's books, some or all of them. They are available in the library. They are also available on the app "Bläddra" in their original language.
Lilli, farfar och norrskenet — Anita Midbjer, Elin Marakatt
Dansbus och kaktrubbel — Marin Salto
Camping och kurragömma — Marin Salto
Badbomber och simhopp — Marin Salto
Plupp och havet — Inga Borg
Plupp och vargen — Inga Borg
Plupp och midnattssolen — Inga Borg
Plupp bygger bo — Inga Borg
• Pimpelfiske — Ann-Helén Laestadius
Nöten — Sarah Schulman, Karl Kjäll
Then we want you to tell us a tale that you recall from your culture as a response to one of these books.
A response can be:
• A tale with a similar storyline
• A tale with one or more similar characters
• A tale with a similar moral or lesson
• A tale with a similar theme
These books are written by writers in one of the 5 official minority languages in Sweden—Meänkieli, Finnish, Sami, Romani Chib, and Yiddish. We want to promote their books and stories, and your culture and tales, by connecting you through children's culture.
During a casting in the winter of 2024/2025, a group of children will select some of you to be storytellers for this project.

Selected storytellers will later be filmed professionally and published online for the world to see and hear these tales.
This could be you!

Your participation will reach children—and adults—who want to hear you tell your tale.
NOTE: To read the books, you will need some help in Swedish. They are short children's books. To answer the form and communicate with us, you will need some help in Swedish / English, or Arabic.
