Hej Göteborgare!
We want to hear a children's story from your culture!
Do you speak one of these languages?
Somali, Persian, Kurdish, Arabic, Spanish, Polish, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, or another language.
Selected storytellers will be filmed professionally and published online for the world to see and hear these tales. This could be you!
Your participation will reach children—and adults—who want to hear you tell your tale.
We will help you connect your oral story to a book written by a national minority in Sweden, as a response.
A response can be:
• A tale with a similar storyline
• A tale with one or more similar characters
• A tale with a similar moral or lesson
• A tale with a similar theme
The books are written by writers in one of the 5 official minority languages in Sweden—Meänkieli, Finnish, Sami, Romani Chib, and Yiddish. We want to promote their books and stories, and your culture and tales, by connecting you through children's culture.
We have selected some children's books written in the national minority languages in Sweden. They are available in the library. They are also available on the app "Bläddra" in their original language.
